Not really, you cannot lose weight fasting. And the reason is because your body eats off of the fat you put into it helping you digest the food. If you fast, the body doesn't have the food to eat and will start eating the fat tissues store in the body.
If you're wondering why is that a bad thing? Well for starters, it's not healthy. The body can only go so long w/o food, and will eventually shut itself down. And when you do want to eat something.. Your body will store the food you eat because it will not know the next time you put food in your stomach.
I've actually for some reason gained more weight by trying to fasting. And the only fluids I added to my body was purify water.
And the faster you lose weight, the faster & double, it comes back on you.
If you want to lose weight by fasting, good luck, make sure you drink a lot of fluids that doesn't contain sugar. I recommend green tea, that's how I've lost weight.

Yes surely you can loose weight of all essential and non-essential muscles and fats in your body by fasting, and later on see a doctor.
I am sorry for being rude, but the fact is fasting alone is not the solution, by fasting you deny the body the required energy input required to keep you in tact. If you have no energy how would you work and be healthy. It is not always about loosing weight, but it is about being healthy.
