Yes. It definitely is. I follow proper textbook English and I don't find a reason why I should not believe this has helped me earn at a better index. People around here has always been saying about "quality posts". It is all about this, do it in proper English and you get more penny per post, avoid shorthands.

I don't like short hand, it irritates me. How are people who do not understand the English Language, supposed to learn if we encourage this type of talk or poor spelling.
coz its faster than writing dis ot long hand duh!
Well no its not because you have to think a lot more to do the text talk than if you write and spell correctly. I also think punctuation is important.

Grammatical english will enhance your earnings, short hand is not allowed as mylot is not a bilingual site, Using more puncuation marks will reduce your earnings. ( As per guidelines of Mylot)

I prefer proper english but I won't downrate anyone because they have spelling or grammar mistakes. But there's a limit to how bad your writing can be if you want to be read. I'm afraid that a lot of the Indian members write so badly that I can't even figure out what they're trying to say. Try to keep learning and improving as you go along, and it will probably show up in your ratings eventually.

I would not suggest shorthand, the posts need to be readable by as many as possible. I know since being here I have read some posts that I could not understand what they were saying which makes it impossible for me to respond to these. I can't speak for mylot or others but if I think someone is making an honest effort to post their discussion I will do my best to figure out what they are saying. I understand there are many here who possibly don't have English as their main language and I commend you for learning another language. I only speak and read 1 language and struggle with that sometimes.

Not everyone here including me is a Professor in English. English language is only a link language for most of us. As long as one can speak and write reasonably good, understandable by others, with one or two spelling mistakes, it is alright. One should try and improve the quality of writing from time to time.

Oh yes it does affect our earnings no you are not suppose to use any short hand while posting and also you should be writing at least 5 lines of discussions that is why I am getting fed up with the members not putting enough this amount of lines here and also people are not giving enough time to pick their best responses.

I don't think so but good quality post can get you best response.you get paid if you mark/get best response.you see,the one line answer or crap post really effects our earning.if we spam or make bad post people gonna rate (-)and thats what effect our earning.

You want to be able to get your point across correctly and for people to respond. If someone reads what you wrote and they don't understand it, they probably won't reply and you don't make money.
