I've been working in early childhood for more than 16 years and I am burnt out and
wanting something new! That is not easy to figure out because I've been doing this for so long I don't know what else I would be interested in. Anyone have any ideas
on how to figure this out?

I know there are skill assessment tests, kind of like psychological questions that point out your hidden interests, but most of them cost and who knows which ones are good. I found some good info here:

I'm in the same boat. But I work on cars. And have co-workers who are in early to late childhood LOL. I hate it, it was a career I kind of fell into. I don't feel I will ever really be good at it because I dislike it so much. But when I think;
What would I like to do?.....uh......uh..........(crickets-chirping) ................I guess it's time to go to work!! Another day in paradise..

I totally understand what you mean. I did daycare for so long and now have been nursing for almost 10 years. I am so tired of the needy people. Nursing is just like daycare only with bigger people. I wish I knew how to choose a new career that I would enjoy, or at least not hate, and that makes a decent amount of money to pay my mortgage and bills.
I guess you could make a list of skills and likes and dislikes and see what it points too. What are you good at? What do you enjoy?

If you have heart to try out why not ? you might do something related to early child hood like selling children toys , educational products or even children clthoes yea ... there are lots of jobs around but it is depend on whether you wanna do it or not ?
