yes there is a danger to your health,it depends on how hygenic and safe your tattoist is,as long as they are using disposable needles, and indiviual inks then there is not a problem, but there are risks form the red ink mainly lots of people have skin proplems because of additives in the red inks,if they are using the same ink pots and dripping there nice new needle in some one elses ink they can pass on hep b or possibly hiv.

There is no danger to your health from having tattoos. If they were hazardous then don't you think people would avoid getting them. Anyways, tattoo is merely in underneath your skin so what harm can that bring you IF you get it done from a clean and hygenic place. If you use a dirty needle then that will definitely harm your health in different ways. You can also surf the net and search on tattooing just to satisfy yourself before you deicide to get some because you cann't erase tattoo very easily.

I think tattoos in minute sizes won't pose any danger in your health. But if you have large tattoos on your body, I think it taints your blood or something. I can't be sure about it though. Some also have skin irritations when they get a tattoo. =)

There is risk of spreading disease - particularly of concern in recent years is Hepatitis C - make sure you use a reputable tatoo parlor that doesn't use the same needles over and over.
