Why can't I run the SIMS in my computer?

I installed the SIMS2 in my computer, I completely installed the 4 cds. And after installing, my computer says, "please insert the correct cd rom."

Have you put disc 1 back in after installing all the discs?? I thought i had to leave disc 4 in to play the game then it told me that and i put disc one back in just to try and reboot it and it started up... i dont know if you have tried that or not but that is what i did and it worked... otherwise im afraid i have no idea
