The war at home

With the world at war why does it seem that people are forgetting the war at home. Though the world has a great many problems it seems like these problems are being used as adistraction from the problems at home. The government seems less concerned with the terror going on right here. We have children being bought and sold on the black market. young girls walking into prostituion because they think it is the only way. more pedophiles than the police kow what to do with, and everyone is concerned with a war that was never ours to fight. What about our children, our way of life, and our piece of mind? Terror walks our streets everyday, waiting and hoping for an opportunity. Who is fighting the war on our streets, who is saving our children, who is waiting to stop the terror that stands on our door step?

We as people have to learn to helpout. Any body can talk about it but what have you done to help a homeless person besides on holidays. Or help a kid get a decent job so she does'nt have to sell her body. Everyone should ask thereselves the question what have I sacrificed to help another.

I agree people should ask themsleve what have they done to help. I myself don't just give of myself on holidays but everyday. I am currently working on starting a foundation that will help with all of the point that I have touched on. For now the foundation will be in Canada but I am hoping that one day my foundation will be able to help anyone who needs help.

I agree. I believe it is being used as a distraction because it is sometimes difficult for people to look at themselves and see their own issues and even harder for them to address their own issues. It is easier to look at other people and tell them what their problems are. We are half way across the world, loosing people every day, when people are dying right here in the U.S. from all the epidemics that we have here. Billions of dollars are being spent on this war when that can be used to heal some of the hurts that we face everyday in the U.S. I do believe something should have been done about the attack here on U.S. soil, but I do think that these wars that Bush has started has been pointed totally in the wrong direction and were because of his selfrighteousness.

you are so right. No one seems to care or mention the very points you have brought up not to mention the ones homeless and those without health insurance. I am all for helping other countries but when we still have displaced and hurting people from hurricane katrina and kids being abandoned, we need to act like the country we claim to be, and care, and do all we can to help. I know we can solve all the problems but someone has to care. If not, its only going to get worse, and maybe one person at a time can start and move toward change with the war at our front doors. Good topic!

Thank you so much for taking a sec to read and comment that means alot. People often forget that talking is a way to help find solutions to problems. North America as a whole needs to step up and take some action. Save our children help our homeless, and set a good example for everyone else.
