I really don't think so. I think some people choose not to believe in God because they want to run their own lives and they know that certain things they do are not pleasing to God. I really believe that deep down everyone knows there is a God.

Unless of course, just to play devils advocate, the aithiest has it right and it is all believers who are the victims of the biggest marketing scam in the worlds history

I believe God's Promises to be true. He has proven Himself in my life way too many times to be false. God has kept every single promise He has made. I am much happier and less anxious since I gave my life to Jesus Christ. He holds the future.

I think the presence of tele-evengelism and attempts at religious conversions make the atheists all the more vigilant. Now there are more visible, vocal proclamations they can fight against. The more religious fervour there, the more chances for an atheist to be guarded. And it is so easy these days to expose the inner emptyness of relgious fads if an atheist wishes so. Now they have so much proof with fight they can wage a war against religion and the concept of faith.

a plus for you my friend. I think you are right, but wonder how strong a faith in nothing must you have to keep it in the face of so much selling of god? It also seems to be getting louder as the competition for souls becomes more intense.
blessed be
thank you for your response

I think is very difficoult to be a true atheist. Easier the agnosticism, thinking that "something" exists without giving it a name, without following a religion. Perhaps, atheism is really possibile when God is replaced with Science or Politics. There are people that adore these as divinity.

you are quite correct some people do indeed call their brand of god science, it is still putting faith in the unknown

Well, my faith is not in a god. I'm more a believed in the goodness of Man, and the constancy of Mother nature and Mother Earth. Though I have to admit, I don't dwell on it that much. Yes, my faith is sorely tested in these days of Georeg W. and his puppetmasters.
It may disappoint you to know that I believe we are no more or less significant to the force that constructed the cosmos, than any other growth on the planet. Our destiny therefor, I believe, is in our own hands.

If being swayed by a religious commercial is enough to change your faith, you never really had much faith in anything to begin with.
