I have such a hard time getting ready in the morning. Does anyone else have this problem? How do you deal with it? I am usually grouchy in the morning also. What are some tips to help me get going in the morning?

I am the same way. I set my alarm and end up hitting the snooze button for an hour. I have no motivation to get up. I'm sure it's because I am up so late, but I don't want to go to bed. Do you stay up too late also? I'm sure part of it is because it's nice and warm under my covers. I also don't sleep very well most nights and that makes it hard to get up. I too would love some advice on this topic

I am a night person also.. you almost have to throw motivation out the window and rely on pure will power, once you are up and awake you find your okay. Force yourself up when the alarm goes off the first time. Eat a high protien breakfast, and to tell you the truth coffee does it for me. I guess no one should advise you to actually drink caffiene but I can not really start untill I have had a cup. Even though I know I have to get up early 6 days a week I hardly ever fall asleep before midnight.

You hit the nail on the head about pure will power. I really should force myself up at the time my alarm goes off, but it is so hard. And I don't even have to get up that early compared to most people. And I agree with you about the coffee. Forget about even talking to me before my first cup of coffee!

Yes I too stay up late. I usually stay up late because after I get the kids to bed, I like to have some alone time for myself or with my husband!

arrggg, I am not a morning person either. What I do is set my alarm for 15 minutes before the rest of the household gets up so that I can at least get my eyes open before I have to talk. It's terrible but I really do not like to converse or share first thing in the morning. I get my coffee which is set at night time, turn on the computer and enjoy a few minutes to myself quietly.. I know 15 minutes does not sound like much but its long enough to get a handle on my mood and to pull up the boot straps so to speak and start my day.

I usually sit on the couch for about 15 minutes so I can zone out for awhile and wake up. I can't even handle taking a shower in the morning. I take one at night so I don't have to in the morning!
