oooooooooooh Grace, that is sneaky and mean and I LOVE it!!!!!!
I may very well get the book later but I will still buy something cuddly and romantic for the day.
Thank you for that though, definitely a very good idea :-)

Well I have to say, for your other half, the best present would be a new lock and key for the Shed, so when he comes home with his Snake, lock him in there, don't even let him in the House. Make sure he has electric though, lol, or he will give the Excuse he has no Electric to make coffee and then will expect you to let him now.
hehehehe as you can see, I AM BACK.

oooooooooooh, anyone would think you had had massive rows with your internet provider, wouldn't they? You have come back sharp as a razor lol.
I must admit the whole idea is very tempting, but Valentine's Day is supposed to be romantic, remember?

Peace and quiet? Which planet offers that please? I will book a shuttle immediately! I think the last time I had peace and quiet was probably when I was a toddler lol. I shall have to see if we can get away somewhere (without the wretched mobile) and try peace and quiet. Good tip.

Hmmm that is really, really, sweet but I wanted to get him a little gift as he has been quite ill and has also had a lot of stress from his family so I wanted a little pick me up happy valentines day gift for him. I always write him a piece of prose specially for him though!

Thatis lovely! What type of puppy? I guess that will cut short your visits to diners for the next couple of months while you train the little darling. Good luck :-)

Well, since you are a writer, don't waste money on a card.
Just make one..or print one out with your own words and that will do nicely.
My husband and I usually go out to dinner. We are going out to lunch this year. That is always a nice gesture.
Lots of hugs and kisses are always nice. Breakfast in bed.
ewww then you have to be up early and cook...lol But look at the sacrifice and you can always go on about THAT all day how you had to be up early to cook...lol.. okay..that is not what you are after.
Ask him what he wants for Valentine's Day, that you will do whatever he wants within reason, this always works well with me.
Hoped this helped :)

Good ideas there, thank you. Eventually we settled for a really nice roast dinner, which he really loves. I don't write words for him as he always decides to rework the word pattern - honest! Very aggravating. I tell him to stick to painting!
