how does the cold weather affect your asthma and what do you do about it?

I work outside of my house, therefore I have to go out in the cold and with this Arctic cold snap, I have found my breathing to be hampared somewhat. Short of calling in sick for the whole winter, any suggestions on what I can do to keep breathing easy?

yeah i am also suffering from asthma, the best thing you can do i first protect yourself well from cold, heads ,ears are important, you can opt for inhalers, that provide immediate relief, i also suggest you a website where household tips are given although i havent tried yet but i think they are good

Be sure to breath in through your nose, not your mouth, and I've found to wearing clothing that keeps your chest warm can help a lot. Try to limit your time outdoors, and I've found that drinking something warm like a cup of hot tea or hot coffee can help warm you back up and ease your breathing after stepping out into the cold.
