Me and My Partner follow different religion..what about our kids....

I follow christianity and my partner follow hinduism.Both of us follow it by birth.We are in love with each other and wanna get married.We are scared that our parents would seperate us with this reason and we want to speak to them and convince them. Can we both get married against our parents and if they are convinced and get married, which religion should our kids follow.. Should we make them follow one of the religions or leave it to their wish. Would like to get your advice.....
