Do you wonder why your posts and earnings don't add up? Here's why

Recently I checked out numerous posts from fellow mylotians complaining that sometimes their posts and their earnings don't add up. I experienced the same situation 2 days ago, where I put up 32 posts but ended up with 21 cents. So I went to my earnings page and found a little overlooked detail. The last date of my earnings was from 2 days ago, which means that if today is feb. 6 then the last day of earnings was feb. 4. It seems that even though you see on your screen that earnings are updated everyday, it is in fact updated only until 2 days from the actual date. To test my theory I made only 4 posts yesterday. Sure enough when I checked again they credited me with 39 cents. Hope this clears things up a bit concerning missing earning from posts.

It does me, but how do they pay you? per post, or word or what. It is always different.

They pay you per post. A minimum of 1 cent for one liners and a maximum of 3 centsfor good, quality posts. Also, your rating can affect the payout. The higher the rating, the more likely you will get the maximum payout.

I have only been posting for two complete days and my earnings have been updated each day. I'm not having the problem you are. I hope it gets straightened out for you. Maybe if the amount of posts is minimal you just aren't getting any money for them?

Well good for you! I live in asia, and as you might well know it's always 1 day ahead of the rest of the world. It also has to do with the different times zones, so the updates vary at each zone.

Actually, I am very sure they need time to check the err before updating our qualified earnings. I don't worry about my earning very much. I just need more time to posts, I don't really have much time to do.

I'd like think that too. maybe the volume of traffic in this website is so big that they need a whole day to sort things out.

Hmm this seems like a reasonable theory, It could actually be true.. Ill test this out to make sure it is right because last month that would mean they did not do this, that would mean that they were updating it every day last month and this month most likely every 2 days? Maybe im wrong...

Thank you for the advice. I can honestly say that I havent had problems with that. I think another factor to look into is when you are making the posts. Meaning there is a cutoff time that will then start a new day. I dont know what that time is, but that may be a reason why it seems to take two days at times to see updates.

thank you very much for that, I don't think I would've caught that one. I'm kind of trying to make a little money on this site, and I'm having a hard time, but it's still fun, so I'll keep working at it. At least it's realistic, I mean, reality means working off one's butt to make just a little money, right? Anyway, I very much appreciated your insight.

Yes, even though most of us say that we enjoy being on this site because of the great discussions, in the end it all boils down to money. Now we can work our butts off without worrying about missing earnings from posts.

No problem. If you want to increse your earnings just avoid one liners. Also, always think think about your responses before typing it. Good responses earn more than one cent. In fact it can earn you as much as 3 cents. And don't forget to rate other people's posts, as it will help you build your reputation, which will appear as a star next to your name when you reach 100 posts. The higher the star, the higher the chance in getting higher earnings.
