Do you actually read every post in a discussion?

Well, do you? Or do you just read the first page, then skip to the end and post your response?

Well, mostly the discussions i respond to has only got one page, so that's easy. And some other discussions that ask for advice on some technical problem should be read carefully cuz someone might already have given the answer. But when it comes to discussions about your opinions on something or your favorite things, then i don't really the whole discussion, just the first post of the person who's started the discussion, cuz in this case, even if your answer is done before, you'd still be talking about YOUR personal opinion, and there's no right or wrong answer for that.

To me it really depends on the discussion. If the topic is actually worth while I will read all the replies unless its 10+ pages. I don't think I have that much time to read all of them. Especially since most proper responses are a paragraph or two long.

I try to do that. Usually though, I just pick the discussions with few responses. I don't have time to read 10 pages!

If a discussion has not many responses and I'm really interested i may read it all, usually i read as much as I'm interested about the topic but you can't really read everything in a busy discussion .. at most times it's about points of view and it's enough to read a few 'samples' before writing your own and no need/use to read all.

I actually do. It's interesting how people's opinions can vary so much sometimes depends on where they live, age and life experiences. Some people can answer in detailed experiences that helps me understand theur points of view, more than the profile itself.
