Home remedy for earmites in my cat

I have a 3 year old cat and he is lovable with people he knows . He is very big and puts on a good evil act when he wants to. When I take him to the vet he gets hyper and not so nice the vet always wants to sedate him before he does anything. This freaks me out a little because anesthetic killed his mother (allergy apparently). My question is.....Does anyone have a home remedy to get rid of earmites? It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out.

You are very welcome.. You probably won't find good meds at pet shops it needs to be a farmers co-op where farmers get their meds. I even get my distemper and parvo shots for the dogs at the co-op. I get good worm meds and antibiotics also. Let me know how it works out for you.

I do not know where you live but I generally can get anything I need for the animals except rabies vaccination at our local farmers co-op. If you are in the states look in your phone book and you should be able to find one close. They will carry a good selection of earmite meds. Good luck with it.

thank you.....I've tried a few pet stores but maybe I will try the phone book and call around. I live in canada but I can't see the pet meds laws as to what they can sell and can't being very different.....Thanks again
