What is the best way to study?

i have heard they say that if you write down things it will help you more to learn it.

I learn better by reading something and then writing it down.
Your brain can save the data your storing into it and easly recall it in the future. I personally type what read using a keyboard because it's a good way to pick up things.

It depends on the person and the subject you are studying.I personally found studying the science subjects whee much easier to learn if you write down things,while with languages it didn't make much of a difference.I have heard your saying that writing makes studying easier. They must have some proof for it.

I believe that is true. That is what I do and what I teach my daughter and other children I help with their homework to do.
It is said that you remember only a certain percentage of what you see, what you hear, what you say and what you read. So, therefore I tell them to read what they need to learn, write it and say it out loud while they are writing it.
