Help! My skin is so dry from winter weather. I can't find a good lotion or cream the lasts all day. I always put lotion on my entire body after my morning shower but by lunch time I'm all itchy from my dry skin again. Anyone have any suggestions? I think I'm as dry as my iguana!

Get a humidifier and run it constantly! I can't even tell you how much lotion we've gone through before I finally broke down and got one. It won't make it all better, but it will help tons.

Thanks for the response. I did have one last year and I don't know what happened to it. I guess I need to get another one.

try to use petroleum jelly it really sooth out dry itchy skin. especially in winter and cold weather it really works. For body use Aveeno body lotion believe me it lasts uptill your next shower and your skin will become silky smooth.

Thank you for responding. I don't like using petroleum jelly beacuse it makes me feel too greesy. I'll give the Aveeno a try though.

Improve your diet, drink plenty of milk, put water out to evaporate in the home

Well, sometimes it can be a Allergic reaction to something, and sometimes just maybe an infection somewhere, or other Health issues causing it as well. I know for me with being Diabetic I have to really watch this issue as well. But there are some Good Creams and lotions out there if you really look that can help with this. You might also talk to you Doctor and get some ideas as well. But if it is Dermatitis or something, drinking a lot of water can help as well. Wishing you Luck.

Because it is widrink the same amount of water as we do in the summer because we don't seem to get as thirsty, but we need just as much water in the winter as we do in the summer. This lack of drinking water in the winter can be the cause dry skin.
