Tell a story about sisterhood and what it means to you being a sister? Or if you're a brother, tell us your favorite story about your sister.
I am the oldest daughter in a family of four children. I have two brothers and a sister. For the first ten years of my life I dreamed of trading my two younger brothers in on a new model, preferably, a sister model. The year I turned ten my dream of having a sister came true, only it didn't seem to be all they made it out to be in the movies. She was little, stinky, and she cried a lot. I couldn't play with her because she was fragile, and so while I waited for her to be old enough to play with, I grew up and lost interest in her. She grew and followed my everywhere. Because I was so much older than she was, I was her babysitter more often than I was her sister, or at least that was how I felt until the year I turned eighteen and moved away from home. It felt like no one in my family really cared that I was leaving home and moving four hours away, but as I grabbed my back to catch my ride my little sister threw herself at me and started to cry. She didn't want me to go. It came as a huge shock to me because I'd never really felt close to her until that moment. Now that we're grown, and we both have families we are a lot closer, more like friends and sisters than ever. I don't even want to imagine what my life would be like if she hadn't been in it, and not just because she provided me with a lot of fodder for jokes and pranks over the years either.

I have a great sister. She is 3 years older than me. She let me go places, like shopping or the movies, when she would go with her friends. When she started dating, I got to go along too. Sometimes she would let me bring a friend. After she moved out, I would stay overnight with her on some weekend nights.
She always makes me feel important, even when I don't think I am. I want her to know that she means the world to me.

That is awesome! I hope you get the chance to show her how you feel. Sisters are great people and they deserve to have their own day, like mother's day or father's day. :)
