Lunch with the sharks!!!

I just wanted to share this experience with MyLotters. I recently had the most amazing lunch experience... I visited friends in Durban South Africa and we went for lunch at uShaka Sea World. The restaurant was inside a stranded ship, and we sat next to a shark tank enjoying lunch.
It was quite a weird experience, eating your steak while the shark swims by and looks at what is on your plate!Have you ever experienced something like this?

Not quite, but I have eaten shark caught by spear fishing further up the coast in Mocambique for lunch!
Absolutely delicious - like white steak.
Recipe:- Cut off a chunk, add seasoning, wrap in tin foil and chuck on camp fire for 15 mins. Unwrap and eat!

Thanks for the recipe...but I would never eat a shark steak in a restaurant like that...hehehe...it just feels WRONG!!! What if they get mad and start attacking the glass wall...hehehe!

Sharks are really awesome to hunt in their own environment. They are so beautifully efficient creatures.

There is a restaurant down in Disneyworld where you can have very good food while looking at the sharks and other sea creatures swimming around. It is a fascinating experience and love it very much. I would only be worried if the shark tried to break through the glass. LOL It sounds like you had a nice and fun experience.

Yes I did indeed, thanks for the info on DisneyWorld, thats one of the places I still wanna visit before I'm too old!

This must have been an awesome experience! I don't know how much of an appetite I would have if I had sharks staring me down during lunch! I visited the site for UShaka Sea World, and it looks like an amazing place. I'll have to put it on my list of "must see" places for when I am able to travel to South Africa. I would love to see that part of the world.

It was indeed an awesome experience...my food never tasted better...must be the high levels of adrenaline in ones blood while sitting so close to a shark! Hehe

Wow, this might have been amazing. I have seen sharks once in my life, but htey were quite small ones and I didnt have to eat next to them. But it was a bit spooky to look at them allready then. But to sit and to eat next to them..although it looks kind of scary as well, I would like to do it also.
