Where do you stand on that issue, meaning how do you feel about it? Do you think there's too much of it going on in America for "just because" reasons like vanity? I don't think that people should have cosmetic surgery unless there is a medical reason. What do you think?

yes Cosmetic surgery should be done only for medical reasons not to beautify anyone. But I feel people low on self esteem go for it though. May be it enhances their opinion about themselves. we all see hollywood stars going for it all the time. I for one am happy with as I am. I sometiomes feel may be increasing self esteem also is a medical reason in a way so its okay then I what a waste that much of moneyu could have been spent on feeding few hungry mouths. But its their money so you can not really judge for them.

I would never do it. I think that allot of people can be vane. But sometimes with people I understand why they have done it as well. If a person wants to go threw this then it is there choice as long as they know what the negatives are with it.

Personally I would never do it. There is no way in heck, I would let a doc cut on me for no medical reason. I do think the doctors need to say no to some people. I believe there is too much plastic surgery going on. I do understand where some would want to have something done.

It doesn't bother me. If people want to go and spend thousands on making themselves look good, then that's their prerogative. It's not the way for me. I'd rather spend my money on travelling the world, or on nice food and clothes. It's different strokes for different folks.

It's not my choice to have cosmetic surgery, but I do say to each his own.
I am grateful though that there are plastic surgeons that are willing to help those born with deformities or have been burned. I watched Medical Miracles for the first time the other day. The surgeries preformed were beyond what the families could pay, yet they went forward and changed lives.

Personally, I can think of better things to do with my money but to each his own. I think it is a personal decision. I guess some people get depressed as they age and dont like how they look. As for me I would never do it.

I am alarmed at the popularity of cosmetic surgery today. I am even more alarmed at the number of young girls in their teens and early 20's getting these procedures. It is clear to me that young women are not being taught to love their bodies. Self love comes from the inside, through life experience, serving others, finding your passion in life and looking beyond the external and finding the beauty within. I think the media is teaching women today to be vain, insecure and to conform to one body type.
