West Virginia is a hiking paradise. You can pretty much find a trail anywhere and everywhere.Just stop at any local store, Im sure sombody will point you in the right direction. Here is a list of some good trails.Cranberry Glades in Richwood, Grandview State Park in Grandview and Moncove Lake in Gap Mills. If you plan to hike off the trails in the late spring thru fall watch for snakes and any wild game. Its better to see them then to be attacked or bitten by them.

You can check out the Rails and Trails. It runs from Clarksburg, WV to Parkersburg, WV. I've checked out the Ritchie County part of the Rails and Trails, by North Bend State Park. You can walk and hike or ride your bicycle without worrying about cars or vehicles. It's very nice!
