The issues of weight watching have become psychotic and obsessive. The media is having a problem finding the line between healthy and scary. Celebrities that are healthy have circles around their stomachs suggesting pregnancy while pictures of women with their ribs showing is supposed to highlight a problem and they are still put on the covers of magazines. However, there is a lack of information beyond the visual. There is little information posted on what a healthy height per weight ratio is, so when a young girl looks at the photos and has no comparison of what is supposed to be normal, she is given a disservice.

I agree. To me, "healthy" weight levels are a little too low. For my height, 5'3, I think it's like 126-131. I am borderline all the time. Knowing it comes from a medical perspective rather than magazines makes me feel even worse sometimes. I love how they circle the woman's belly RIGHT after they had a kid. It's like, give them time to lose the baby weight!!!!
