I would much rather be financially independant, i.e. have enough assets to be able to pay for my expenses without my working, than to have a very large salary. On the other hand, I would love to have a huge ($1.5M) salary for one year so that I could just save most of it and achieve the financial independance I would rather.

My husband and I both work so we each save about 40% of what we make. We're not saving it to be filthy rich but down the line in 10-20 years it'll be alot. We're still very young...(early 20s) so we've got a lot of time and saving seems fit in our budget. :)

I am a money saver since I never have huge salary. But if I do have huge salary I would still save, afterall the money alone will make interest just by sitting in the bank or investment program.
