Grocery Store 10 Items or Less RAGE

I was in the store yesterday with 11 items in the 10 items or less lane. The older gentelman behind me told the clerk "I will just be a rbel the next time and bring 50 or sixty items to the lane. In fact who cares about rules?!" He looked at me with disgust. He spoke again, "The whole world is going to hell - you can't even get into an express lane any more without someone messing it all up." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I apologize dto him and told him I didn't realize the heart ache I was going to cause by bringing the one extra item. He asked me "Are you taunting me? You trying me?" I just paid for my items and walked away. I have never had anything like that happen before.
