How do I get a star?

I'm new, so please don't laugh at me if this is a really stupid question. I see a LOT of people with stars, and I was just wondering how to get one? Is it based on the number of posts or something?

Once you have 100 post (100 responses) then you will get your star. The number inside the star is for the quality of responses you give. So keep on answering!!!

thats when i got mine- I was getting depressed cause it didn't seem like I was getting anywhere- few responces not much money and no star so when i hit 100 and got it I was very excited, it inspired me to keep trying!

hello designermom and welcome to mylot!. well to get a star you must at first reach 100 posts.. the star will denot your reputation here in mylot.. it also will be the reflection of how people here in mylot react to your discussions.. like if they like you and your responses then they can give you a + which helps increase your star.. well good luck desginermom!.happy mylotting

No question is a dumb one ... As the responders above has said after 100 posts...I am sure you will have a nice star once you reach the 100 mark ...so just keep doing what you are doing and all will be fine ...and have fun too... :D

when your posts reach 100 you will get a star and i think if people rate you.my daughter was the one to show me this site and now she has to fight me to get the computer.

when you reach your 100th post you will get your star, then you'll see your star rating, too. it's nice to know how you rate. it's like a tap on the back that tells you you're doing a good job.

I wondered the same when i first started!! The star appears after you have got 100 next to your name! The colour of the star will very depending on the + and - responses to your posts. So keep on posting - you have another 81 to go til you hit the star. It'll be here sooner than you know. Hope that helps.
