Ok, so I bought this game not too long ago, I usually wait for them to get old so they're not as expensive. Anyways, I start playing the story mode and I hook one of my sims up with a guy so that we...err they could start a family. To my disappointment I read that there are no kids in the PS2 version! I feel ripped off. Why is it that there are kids in the PC version (which by the way runs completely crappy on my pc and NOT worth playing at all) but none in the PS2 version? I think it's kind of lame and it's not as realistic or fun. *sighs* Does anyone else feel the same way?

I have never played the PS2 version of the game but I have the pc one. I couldn't imagine not having kids in the game. That is very disappointing. I know how you feel about the game playing crappy on the pc. I had a hard time playing it on my old computer but then I got a new one. I have all the expansion packs so now it is started to hang a little bit. If you have the money, you might be able to buy more memory for your computer and that will help with gameplay.

Thanks! I have been looking into getting more memory because I have so many games but The Sims 2 is one of my favs and I think that would help it run alot smoother.

The PS 2 version was such a disappointment, I couldn't believe they had taken out exactly the things that made the PC version so good! There were other things that made the game much less fun, like the fire hazard warning. The graphics were also pretty low quality, such a shame.

Yeah! I also felt the same way! That's why I find it boring already. However, some thread says that they can have a baby if they will just continue to "woo hoo". I have tried it several times but nothing happens. Also, I can't build big or fabulous houses since it is limited. There's the fire thingy if you exceeded the corresponding settings. Does anyone know how to have limited appliances?
