Have you seen Franz Ferdinand live?

Who here has seen Franz live, either in concert or just ran into them in real life? I've been to two of their concerts: The Theatre at Madison Square Garden, NYC, in October 2005, and Constitution Hall, Washington, D.C. in April 2006. They were incredible both times, and I really wish I had closer seats. I have great photos of them, though!

I saw Franz when they came to Singapore in Feb 05. They were really great! And they even asked all the concertgoers to bring food and meet them after the show at the lobby of their hotel to get back at the hotel manager who ticked Alex off earlier that day for eating a sandwich there.

I haven't seen them live but I have seen live performances of theirs broadcast on television. I have to say "incredible" is not a word I'd use to describe them live. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of their work, but they just can't carry it off live. The vocals are usualyl weak and out of the tune and the mixing of the guitars is consistently shoddy. I think I'll be sticking to their recordings rather than wasting my money on concert tickets.

I saw them 3 times, two oppening for U2 on the Vertigo Tour and the other one was the last concert of the tour in Brazil. It was fantastic, definitely one of the best concerts I've seen. Nick threw his keyboard to the audience, LOL, I've almost grabbed it.
