everyone breaks up with someone...

tell me how YOU would break up with your loved one when you realized that its just ain't working... if you realized that holding on ain't working and that you do care but really want to end it... how would YOU go about it... many people these days needs to be kind... if i were to break up with the one i am with... i would have a nice dinner and let them know tat its just not working out and that i would always be here for them...

I'm just honest when I need to break it off with someone. I explain why, I apologize, and I try to leave it at that. I admit I sometimes get mean if they just won't accept the fact that I want to end it. But usually the people I've ended relationships with - barring a disastrous and abusive relationship - have accepted it well and we've remained friends.

My most recent breakup I just explained that I wasn't in a place in my life where I could handle being in a relationship, and I really need to take a few steps back and get my own life in order before I could possibly think of handling a serious relationship. The pressures and responsibilities were too much for me, and I needed time and space. I'm still not ready to be in a relationship and we're still friends.
