how can people with a sound mind walk by someone that has nothing not even a home and be rude? there is a girl in her 20's that lives in the park down the street from my home and everytime i see her i atleast smile. well today she was standing under the roof in front of the store i guess trying to get warm. she had no gloves or hat on and a thin jacket (mind you its below 0 here and now we have 3 inches of snow) anyway people just kept giving her mean looks. well i couldnt deal with it i went into the store and got her coffee and trust me when i tell you i dont have money to spare at the moment i have 4 babies on the way and a stove that doesnt work. anyway she started to talk to me. the more she talked the worse i felt. i called the shelters in the area and they were full i called the churches and they all said no funds available. well i couldnt leave her on the street so i took one of my bills that i was gonna pay and paid only half and took her to a hotel for 2 nights. i arranged for her to get an interview for work on wed so maybe she will get a job. she told me her mom had gotten remarried and threw her out of the house and thats why she is on the streets. so will somebody please tell me why so many people can just ignore them like they are nothing and not help! if you look at it what would it cost 2 bucks fromm 100 people would get her a room for 2 weeks to get her going on her own if she gets work. so please tell me why i keep hearing no from people i ask to help out.

You are such a good person I geuss people are just afraid of them. I think it is so sad that there are so many homeless people out there in the world and not enough to help out. I would help as long as I knew they were genuine, I suppose I'm a little afraid too but if I like you saw the same person day after day I would have done the same thing and I will smile at them always and never say anything mean I just wonder why they have no help... You are right even if everybody gave $1 they would help these people get back on their feet I wish I knew a genuine fund that would or does this to help the homeless. I always like to Help others

That's sad at least you tried. Good Things will come to you, you've already been blessed with those loveley babies. I hope things work out for her and yourself. Some people just care to much about themself to help others.... When there is a crisis in the world say such as the tsunami, many gave what they could to help them and that's where I feel that there sound be a fund like that to help the homeless get back on their feet... Every little bit helps...

That is not worst than here in the Philippines. Everywhere you look you would see a lot people homeless with no food to eat, dirty clothes, no water to drink. It is indeed very frustrating to see them with nothing to eat and drink. They are so dirty sleeping on the streets with only cartoon as their mat on the sidewalk. That is one biggest problem here in the Philippines. Maybe it is our government who are not doing anything to help them have jobs. The problem also with these homeless families is that they keep on making more babies and sometimes they become beggars, snatchers, hold uppers, gang member or killers. I want to help on my little way but i am also afraid to be with them because some of them victimized people like they rob them. But I wish someday I can help them in my own little way.

It is hard to see this. I feel the same way. Here in Arizona we have so many homeless that it is am epidemic. They come here for the summer because it is nice weather the high in the summer is 90 degrees F, But they get trapped here in the winter. Alot of them drink and alot more of them don't want a job they want a handout for booze. We have alot of Native American here who drink all the money you give them and then if you offer to buy them food or a hotel they cuss at you. It sounds like this woman you are talking about is a different sort. Those are the ones we should try to help and it sounds like you are doing all you can. I think alot of people are under the impression that homeless people are lazy and are where they are becaus eof bad choices. But we have all ALMOST been there. I know I am not the only person living paycheck to paycheck and right at the brink of the possibility of homlessness ourselves. All we can do is what we can and hope its enough God bless and good luck to you. i also believe your good deeds will come back 100 fold!
