Why do some women think that they should stay at home with their children and others think that they must work outside the home? Which one is easier? Which one is more rewarding? What does the BIBLE say about it?

Don't really matter what the Bible say's on this, Not that I don't believe in God or anything I do. Look in this day and age it is hard for some to be able to stay at home. I am a stay at home mom, and we as a family make sacrafices for this. My husband is a great provider, he takes care of his family. We both have been divorced and we both pay child support to other parents. All on his income. We don't go out to eat, or go to the movies we are simply basic on things. We have chosen that it is better for me to be at home because although the kids arent here always except for my youngest. It gives the other parent's the option to have a babysitter always available. My husband works at night's and he needs me to be here during the day to take care of things he cannot. I homeschool my oldest. I enjoy my life and wouldnt change it. But I know everyone couldnt live like we do and for them whatever is best for them.

It does matter what the Bible says on it and everything else. Why are we even here? To serve GOD. To your second comment, Yes, it is hard in this day to be a sahm. So is raising your children in the way they should go while you are not even the one raising them. This world would not be in the shape that it is in if the moms (or dads) would stay at home to be there for them. One parent needs to be there for the children whenever the child may need him or her. Sometimes the child would not even admit needing the parent but, if your there for them they will never forget your love and dedication.

I really wasnt trying to be negative, I was giving my opinon. Wow! Please don't get so upset with my response, this is my outlook and I trully understand that people have different opinions. Not everyone can go with what the Bible say's Finacially some cannot afford to stay home and raise there kids, and just because they work doesnt mean they are not Good parents and that they are not Teaching there children. Look it is the facts of life, some people cannot do it for reason's beyond anyones control. Doesnt make anyone Bad. This is my opinion and I am sorry I have offended you. I will make sure to steer clear next time. Thanks for your post, and letting me respond.

I dont think that one job is easier than the other. Both raising a family & working outside the home can be stressful. I also think that both can be equally rewarding...I just depends on the person you are talking to. I have done both. Ive stayed home & cared for my children & I am no working outside the home. Although I loved staying home with my children I missed adult conversation & earning my own money. Having an income all of my own is very rewarding to me, but then again so is watching my children grow. I dont know what the bible says on any of it though, nor do I care to. I follow whats best for me.

I think some people are just better equipped to deal with being stay at home moms. I have enjoyed it for the past seven years and found it to be the most rewarding time of my life. Now that my children are older and are pretty much self sufficient, I will be re-entering the workforce. I am sure I will miss the time I get to spend with my children, but I also think it will be good for them.
