Who else here thinks that V-Day is the most overated excuse for a holiday?

I think the retail industry have blown Valentines Day and other days like it way out of preportion just to get more money out of us. And we fall for it mostly. I insist on only a card for Valentines day because if he got me a pressie he would pay a hugeprice for and Id feel he only got it as he felt he hadto do something seing as its Valentines day. Id much prefer to get a gift out of the blue that was thought of just for me instead of a gift he felt brainwashed into getting me.

I think this holiday is for the buisness out there to earn some more profits, you should not base one day to express love to your wife, mother, father, or husband. But then again this is the way of life in the United States

It is. Love should be shown everyday. There shouldn't be a designated day for it.

I think it's a day the florists invented to get men to spend 3 times as much as they should on a bouquet of flowers. I love my husband dearly, and I don't need a special day to tell him that.
