Why does my new guy get mad at me for thinking about me all the time?

I could feel his inner anger at something. I love him and I know he loves me, I can feel it. But he fights his feelings. He is seething inside when I am around and when I am not around, he gets angry, too. What is all this anger? Is it anger? Maybe he does not know how to express his feelings. He always tells me he is busy so I say "Ok I understand" and I try not to disturb him. But when I am not around he blows his top. He says he thinks about me all the time-like trying hard not to get into an accident while driving because he is thinking about "this." Does he really love me? Why can't love be that easy? I once read that the first sign of love is denial, is that true?
