Is it normal for pets to be jealous????

I have a King Charles and he is a green eyed monster.He is even jealous of my husband!!!!Whenever someone gives me attention or tries to come close to me, he just pounces on them.My friends have stopped visiting me coz my dog cannot behave himself and is being such a brat.If I leach him, he barks non stop.If we close the door and keep him outside he will scratch and cry and bark till we let him in.He is really turning out to be a nightmare.Has anyone ever had such experience with pets.What do you suggest I do?

I think that it is pretty normal for pets to get jealous. If there is one thing that a pet loves, it is your attention. If your pet senses your attention on someone else too much, they can easily become jealous. I have a really good friend who tells me about how her little dog goes crazy when she starts getting close to her boyfriend, even though when she and her boyfriend are not being romantic the dog actually loves the boyfriend's company. I don't really know of any remedies, but I just wanted you to know that you are not alone. Pets definitely get jealous like this.
