Tags are so other people can find your discussion when they type it in the search box. It just makes things easier to find in general.

tags are keywords that identify the discussions. Like if you search for "love", all discussions with the tag love would appear. It just makes it easier to find a certain topic.

I see you are new to myLot, so welcome. I hope you spend many happy hours here. When you create a discussion, and when you respond to someone else's discussion, you will be asked to tag it. If you type a word or words spearated by commas, or a phrase into the box, they will be used in the search facility. Always try to enter at least one word. tag is word or group of words that best identify your discussion topic, its more of a description. It helps you and the members to locate certain discussion/s within a specific interest/s. Like if you're talking about family problems, you can tag these words "children, relationship, difficulties, etc, etc.". Hope it helps.
