I was watching Animal cop Houston tonight and it just broke my heart how cruel and ignorant people can be with their animals. This woman had two horse, the mommy and the baby girl, and she had them both tied up in the back yard, with nothing to eat, or drink. When they found the horsed, the mother was 300 lbs under weight!! And the baby was 150 lbs under weight. And this guy had a puppy with eye infection,he put peroxyde in his eyes!! I mean come on, are they that stupid?? It just breaks my heart when i see this, i mean, why do these people get animals in the first place if they're not going to take care of them?? THose animal cops have to be strong not to wanna hurt all those animal owners when they see such things, and not to break down and cry.

I think you should not have pets when you can't take care of them.
Sometimes i watch the program and i feel sad after, but i'm glad that the animal cops take care for those animals and i think they do a great job

There are just egoistic people who treat themselves as gods over these animals which deserve to be treated as pets. All they care about is boosting their egos that they have these pets to show off and when the curtains go down they won't even give a damn to these animals. You just can't believe how irresponsible some pet owners are. Can't they just think that these animals have lives and do feel. If you just neglect them and don't take good care of them, what's the point of having them in your household. Give it up to someone it so deserves. Someone who could give them love and attention that they so long to feel from their owners. Just can't believe how some people are just too selfish, just unimaginable cruelty.

I watch the show sometimes but I usually end up crying. Its sad to see how some people treat their animals. I wish there were more agencies like the animal cops around. I couldn't do their job because I would probably end up in jail after I did the same thing to the owner as they did to their animal.

I agree with you that people shouldn't get pets if they aren't going to care for them. My sister can't watch that show because she finds it so disturbing.

I used to watch Animal Cops but I noticed I'd be depressed afterwards and carry the depression throughout the day. By the way, have you ever heard of Ron Artest? He started a brawl in Detroit a few years ago but now he plays for the Sacramento Kings in the NBA. His animals were just seized because they were neglected and malnourished. It's the fourth time they have had to investigate. Wouldn't you think they would just take the dogs away? Maybe he gets preferential treatment for being a millionaire NBA player, I don't know. But good grief, he has the money to care for them, if he didn't want to have them, he could have given them to a shelter!

I've never heard of him, but i do agree, he surely has the money to care for the dogs. They should've just taken them away the first time around, like they do for the "regular" people. THey shouldn't sacrifice a dog's well being, just because its master is a celebrity of some kind.

I watch Animal Precinct on cable here and I too find it disturbing. Those people that work in these organizations must really be strong. I love animals to bits and thought of helping out in the spca here once but then realized I wouldn't be able to stomach some of the situations.
