DEepa Mehta's Water - Did you Like the Movie?

Have you seen Water, the movie by Deepa Mehta, which is now nominated for the Oscar in the Foreign Language SEction. I heard that the movie was a hit in North India, though it is not yet released in India, the place about which the movie is made. It talks of the condition of the widows in India in the 1930s. Please do share your views on the movie here. Do you think that it will bag an oscar? I loved the way two mainstream actors were moulded for the role and the small kid in the movie as well.

water is very nice movie. it has shown the condition of widows before independence and i think this kind of movies should be made so that people know what was the condition of widows, how our society treated them.

"Water" losed to Germany's "the lives of others" at the recently concluded Oscars. But it still one of the most disturbing films ever made.
