Well Nitesh, having too many options is never a problem and in fact, keeps the players on their feet and eager to perform all the time. The tantrums that Virender Sehwag throws are well documented and reported in the media, and th e only reason why Sehwag is as arrogant as he is today is because he was made to feel too comfortable. The position of the Indian Cricket team was so bad that in spite of Sehwag being in poor form, he was an automatic selection. This is the fact that has spoiled him and made him indisciplined.
Now that Utthappa is firing on all cylinders, you can expect the likes of Mohammad Kaif and Yuvraj Singh to be on their feet. The inclusion of Dinesh Karthick and his subsequent successes have meant that our batting sensation Mahendra Dhoni cannot take his place for granted either. This will create an atmosphere of healthy competition. Otherwise, players tend to get complacent and indifferent, thinking that they are irreplaceable and that their performances are not really compulsory.

i could not understand why sehwag has been sent for opening in 3rd ODI against Srilanka where he once again failed to bat well and made 12 runs only. when he opted for middle order in 2nd ODI, he performed well. why Mr. greg is trying and why Mr. Colnol kept mum.

i think its a bonus to have all your players firing at the same time.. so what if uttappa is performing too... its all the more better.. better in good form than not.. consider a situation where one of them were to get injured during the world cup.. then what...

yeah it was a bad decision appointing chappel as a coach....
he caused all sorts of problems in the team and then finally the world cup performance of the team was lackluster....
and finally it was right to take him away as coach...
