Do children need to go for tuitions?

in my flat one lady ask me
where is my baby go for tuition?
i told her that my baby is in L.kg but getting her answer i was surprise , she said her son is in nursery and she looking for good tuition teacher .
in my flat too children for std 1 to 4 is also go for tuition after come back from school.
1) why parents send their childern for tuitions ?
2) what do u think ? what are the main reason behind it ?
3)what u say is it right to give pressure to the child ?

Tution should be banned come what may. It has become a side business for school teachers to earn extra money.What they cannot do properly in classroom, they do it in tution class. People who study in tution class do not give attention in normal class room because they know they are going to study again (or already studied at tuition.)

yes too i am agree with ur points only in school level but my question is still there only . i am not talking about teachers i want to know about parents .

Unfortunately in india,the parents are undergoing a lot of pressure, tension and they do not want their children to undergo the same, hence with a good intention, they want their children to aspire for higher posts,by studying well and scoring high markts in competitive examinations.
Secondly, every parent wants their children to perform well and generally it is believed that whatever parents teach, still it may fall short of their expectation and they think children learn betterfrom teachers. Hence they send them to tuition.
Thirdly, because they would like to compare their children with other children (my neighbour's son secured 95% last year ) and hence I shold make my son get 96+. Hence they put a lot of pressure on child. This is not fair,but then which parent would like to listen to this? I always tell my son,do what ever you want to do. Tell me in what way I can help you. No pressure.

I think tution is good for children.I like tution because in school our children will not get enough knowledge.
