Taxes , a burden on citizens or their responsibility towards the country ?

We are aware of the various typesof taxes we have. Taxes are actually some part of your payment that you pay towareds the government for the country's developmnet. Various countries and stated have different tax. Some countries have tax as high as 50% while some countries dont have tax at all. Futhere there are various types of tax like raod tax , preoperty tax ,income tax. What do you think is the right amount of income tax that should be paid ? If taxes are high like 40-50% it seems to be a burden for the payer but paying taxes are also important. So there should be some kind of compromise...what do you think tax should be ideally? According to me it should be not more than 15%
