will sehwag get same type of success in the midle order as he got as an opener?

No. Because basically he loves to play in the air. During middle overs, the fielding is spread out and it is quite difficult for him to constantly keep his shots down or choose the no man's land for his lofted shots. And he is not adept in milking the bowling for ones and twos or rotating the strike as fluently as others in middle order. I think, team india at this juncture does not require his services in the playing 11 at all. It holds true for the world cup as well. In the above time, let him undergo the domestic cricket grind and learn some footwork and revise the basics of his batting. Then maybe he can come back inside the team successfully as ganguly has done. What a wealth of talent, wasted unncessarily by him. Problem is, that chap concentrated more in endorsements than in match practice. Serves him well.

sehwag got successas opener in the past .but now he is not in the form .he did got success in last 10matches .i think he is better in middle order .he will get success in in this position .uthappa was also a best opener.

I dont think so he is just a player who likes to belt all the balls to the boundries.He should learn from his mistakes to hold the innings.

i think sehwag should not open now becoz he is a nice player but as he is out of form so put him at middle order is a right desicion

Sehwag should open the innings and he will utilize the first 15 overs advantage fully. He will score quick runs in the first 15 overs only. So he should open the innings with Robin Uthappa.

i am sure sehwag will be a failure again if he is fed into the middle order of the team.. he does not fit into the middle order of the indian team..in indian team the middle order batsmen hav to stand and score runs in most matches.. it would be a good position to bat for sehwag down the order.. he can come in the last ten or five overs and blast the opponents and boost up the indian score

Why not he is one of the best players in india ,he is such a timer of off side player , no one can play such like timing , heis one our greatest captain ever produced by india , and he will in his best during this world cup , when he came back indian team got some good stand

i think he is capable to do much better and he can get his place back in team soon..he is a great player as an opener so i think opening position suits him,he has experience too which uthappa doesnt have

i dont feel taking him down to middle order will be better he is a atacking player who keeps the ball in air all the time and hits them hard which is a quality of a opener to score runs in begining .he will now have to become more responsable and will have to play grounded shots which every one is forcing him to do.. i will suggest to make him open again with robin and these 2 should give india flying start in beginging by scoring quick runs
