annoyed by possessiveness??

Well..ever had a friend who was possessive of you?..well..when she or he's around, you just cant talk nicely to anybody or even otherwise, you have to aacompany he/she wherever they go. You like your friend a lot, but then this friendship demands that you just cant be friends with anybody else. Well..what would you do in such a situation?..She/he is not gonna listen to you even if u explain.Would you just quit being her friend? Or would you do what she likes? Back in school, i had a good friend whose best friend was very possessive of her. She tried to act normal, but it was pretty obvious. Once she wrote a letter to my friend asking her not to move on with us( we were a gang of 6). She mentioned that she hated us.. My friend, though it hurt a bit for her, decided that she cant let her life get ruined in school by her best friend. So she just told her that if she wants to be her friend only if she is alone, then they better not be friends. I think that was the best thing to be done. Dont u? Till date we are best friends.

My girlfriend sounds a bit of that kind... i can sense some part of her being like that.. though she now has changed completely and trusts me to a better extent than earlier

No, I don't think what she did is right. She has really made a dent on the heart of her best friend. How can one simply throw off one's friend in such arrogant manner? If she is having some psychological shortcomings as you have pointed out, it was her duty as a friend to clear that. But instead, she left her friend at desert, when the only thing she did wrong was to love her friend so much. She has not done anything wrong, she has simply had an attitude problem.

no..you dint get it right..this friend of hers wasnt just possessive..she was jealous!..she tried telling her that she was always special to her..but then her friend made it clear that she cant go on with her when she would move on with us..so was there much choice??

Thats y I always tell people live life like u wish to live and don't make relations which are questioned ever now and then. Thatz how I live ...... Rang De Basanti
