I recently lost my brother to an accident. He was 26 years old.. We miss him terribly. Although its already been 2 months now, I still cry whenever I remember him. I tried to be busy, to go to places that doesn't remind me of him.. I think I'm getting better.. but I have this feeling that I'm just prolonging the agony of dealing with my feelings..
How do you cope with grief? How long does it take to heal?

i lost my grandma last year when i was stll pregnant and its not really that easy to sope with the situation. of course, our loved ones would forever be remembered. there would really be tough times along the way. i guess its best to remember happy memories. and just put in mind that they are happy and at peace with GOd. in return, we here on earth should also move on with our life. there is no time when. it would forever be there. hope you'll recover soon .

I've never lost someone so close to me. I've lost older members of my family, and their lose was still huge, and impacted my soul deeply.
If i were to lose my sister so suddenly, I think I'd grieve well over 2 months. I don't think I'd ever completely get over it, either. I know it's not much, coming from a strange and all. But I think it's ok to cry when you remember him. You just have to learn that it's ok to miss him, and important to remember memories you had. I wouldn't rush it, but just let your grief take its natural course. Over time, all wounds heal. But some wounds leave scars.
I'm so, so sorry for your loss though. I'm sure he wouldn't want you to worry about crying, or prolonging the grief. I hope you do find peace, though.
