Umpire Vs Technology...Cricket

i think umpire is required in cricket.yes we can use technology for every decision .but it delays the match .umpire can give amswer straightly .but technology delays the match .in the case if umpire got any confusion he can give it to third umpire .

Umpires are key in cricket they are the only person who can control the game on the field, other wise who will gives out, for every LBW appeal use of technolgy delays the game I dont think its a good Idea, Techhnmolgy is useful only when umpire is not sure while making a decision

I feel technology cannot be used for giving LBWs, some caught behind decisions, wides and controlling players on field during times of sledging and war mongering. The major disadvantage with technology is that the entire match is seen through the camera view which is somewhat different from the actual naked eye vision in the middle. It is prudent to let the umpires conduct the game and allow them to consult third umpire when they are in doubt to give a correct verdict. But the bottom line is that unless players indulge in fair play, no amount of technology and umpiring is fool proof.

I think technology should be used in conjunction to an umpire's decision.

Umpires are the most important beings present at the field during the match ...because they can change the result of match single handedly and they are being given powers that nobody can intervene with their decision......though i think that they should be present at the field but at the same time they should be better equipped with technology so that their decision in case of lbw can be more accurate ...this will ensure that no team will feel cheated under the name of bad judgement by umpires.......
