I had one of those Morphine drips in my arm after I broke my leg. didn't do a thing to kill the pain, however, I became addicted to it easily. I think it kept me from swinging at the people who were helping me out. However, I had no intentions on swinging at anyone! So, it makes me wonder. besides anesthesia, what other pain medication besides the use of morphine, is known to work on a broken leg?

Hi there...consider a super powerful prescription nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) called Toradol. It definitely works at killing pain but it can only be used on a short duration of less than 5 days for moderately to severe acute pain that requires analgesia at the opioid level. The reason why is can cause intestinal bleeding and is really hard on the kidneys. When I had meningitis 10 years ago, the morphine wasn't doing anything and one injection of the Toradol it was instant relief without being stoned. You can read more about Toradol from the following website: http://www.rocheusa.com/products/toradol/pi.pdf

Hi there again...they are serious, but boy when you are really suffering and need something to intantly (literally) kill the pain, Toradol is the best. I prefer to take this over any narcotic any day--not masking the pain, but killing it!
