Doubt about my future

Hey friends, have a nice day to all. I'm currently doing prefinal year of civil engineering in a reputed institution. Now i'm in the dilemma. The matter is on march 1st of this year i have campus interview in "Cognizant Technical Solutions-CTS", an IT based companies. On the same date i have the national level technical meet in well known popular university. In this meet, i would go to present the poster display about the subjects related. The company which i mentioned above is non-IT based company for me. Now i have confusion that which i should prefer first? when i can take the family situation, the placement is necessary for me. Then what i can do now? Next year i have the interview on my core companies. Give me your comment to me....Help me...

you're studying civil engineering and you are considering an IT job? why is it so? it's weird? you probably screwed in your studies? if not and you excelled in it...the primary reason i can think of is you could not find a job related to your course? if not...then you must be nuts

I know i have a lots of jobs in my course..In next year, i have a lots of chance in construction. The problem is my background...so i'm in the need to have a jobs now in my hand...Can u tell me for this???
