Well I don't drink at all, I'm just curios to those people who drinks alcohol when they have problems. When you ask them they just simply says "I have a problem and I want to forget/solve it". Can they really some it just by drinking? And sometimes they know it doesn't really help why are they still drinking? Share your views here pls...

well, drinking does not solve anything. As a matter of fact, it really makes the problem even worse by getting the hang of drinking everytime you get to have a problem.

In my humble opinion, it's all about self medication. If you talk to those people, and they get really honest, there's probably an underlying medical condition, like depression, or anxiety. Personally I'm not a drinker, but I can relate to wanting to be numb, so that you don't feel whatever is ailing you. Also, addiciton is a VERY strong thing. A person can tell themselves mentally that they don't want to drink, yet they're still bringing the bottle to their lips. That's why there are groups like AA :o)

hello serbite!. well i think that alchohil just gives you a temporary relief from the problem. it doesnt solve the problem and it doesnt necesarrily make the problem worse.. see alchohol just allows you to forget your problems for a period of time and then after that it will give you a headache and an incredible thirst for ice cold water and then the problem is back again.
some people do drink because they have problems and they just want to forget it for a second. some people know that drinking will not help but they still do it because they cannot handle the fresh pangs of pain yet and chooses to dull the pain and drink more alchohol to not be bothered by the problem for a moment.. i think that they will come out of that sometime if they still want there sanity and their life back.

No, it doesn't help to solve problems. We all know that. Maybe because when drunk, they didn't even bother to think of the problem. They only have a short relief though. Why keeps on drinking? Maybe the feeling is good. I've been tipsy before and it feels good.
