i ve been wearing a seatbelt much before it became a low here in delhi (india). i ve had some really serious accidents which could have been fatal for me if i was not wearing a seatbelt, so i have a habit of wearing it as soon as i sit in my car, and i make sure the others wear it too.safety is the foremost reason, and yes it saves you from the tickets too!

well i use the seat belt when ever we travel in the car and also insist that everyone in my family does....
but in my country it is not a strict thing to use it so people really dont care , but i say we all should so that we can protect ourselves from dangers during any sort of road accidents...

If you are here in the Philippines, you are very right. Even it is a law, lot of drivers and passengers don't do it. Maybe because traffic here is very slow, far from accident. Just an observation though. But regardless of the traffic movement, we must always buckle up for an accident comes at the most unexpected time.

I ALWAYS wear my seat belt and require everyone in the car with me to use theirs as well. My car will keep beeping if either the driver or the passenger does not have their seatbelt fastened. My husband tends to leave his off, but he's getting better about it now because he's tired of me bugging him. :)

I am not a driver, but my husband uses a seat belt and so do I. I do not wear one when I am in the back seat. They seem to make seat belts rather inconvenient there, and I usually sit down and hold onto the car door and my husband makes sure that all the doors are locked. I do find in some cars, when I am a passenger, that it is hard to use the seat belt as they are not designed for women with 40 inch waists.

Samson1967, I never forget to wear the seatbelt while driving. I also never forget to advise my passenger to wear the seatbelt. If I'm the passenger I also never forget to wear the seatbelt.
