'light saber' is just a weapon or thing that will decay sooner or later but the 'force' is a transcedental thing like telekinesis, uncanny perception/intuition.

The force. Without it they wouldn't have been able to weild the light saber as they did. It wasn't just skill for them to use it but also the force quiding their actions. So without the force they might have been a good fighter but not to the ability they were able to do due to the force helping them.

force is wat which is always with u
light saber is the one which helps u to implement force in a full fledged manner
but force without a light saber is not useful
u cant even make it come back to u
so force is wat u need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND FORCE IS IMPORTANT

The Force is more important. The use of the Force is what defined a Jedi.
The lightsaber was more a badge of their office. Han Solo used a lightsaber in The Empire Strikes Back and he is definetly no Force wielder.

The lightsaber is merely a tool that the jedi use in their battles. Back in the day the jedi didnt have a lightsaber so I would have to say the force is more important.

I would say the force. A lightsaber is an excellent tool, but it is limited in use. The Force is a constant ally of the Jedi/Sith. Its power can be wielded both physically in the forms of lightning, choking, pushing, pulling, etc. as well as mentally in the forms of intuitive thought, battle meditation, communication, etc.
