Help Me Understand This Issue!

I was watching Dr Keith Ablow yesterday on TV and his show was about a mother scared of her 14 year old "lesbian" daughter. The mother and her older daughter were stating that they are scared of the 14 yr old daughter because she steals from the mom & dad, she fights with the brother, she's wild, she hits the mom and she's a lesbian. My question to all of you, you are the parent and you have a 14 yr old daughter acting like the girl stated above, what would you do? How would you handle this situation? I'm only asking because my parents are from the south and I KNOW what they would do and I know how I would handle this type of issue, but I want to know how would some of you handle it. Are there really parents that are scared of their own children?????
