I know someone that has a settlement pending. He was injured on the job and his employer paid for his surgery. Now he's getting weekly checks from the employer's insurance company--I have no idea how the dollar amount was decided. The employer has told his lawyer they are ready to settle. Does anyone know what happens next? How does the dollar amount get decided? What may hurt/help his case? Any info you can give me is appreciated!

if you friend was hurt on the job an if! he file a lawsuit against the company then he can ask for thousands of dollars an if the company dont agree on what he is wanting than the lawyers compromise on a dollar amount.so it depends on how much money your friend is asking for.

How can he come up with a justifiable dollar amount?
