Yah I worked for Dell before and not all countries have dell facilities. The good thing though about the warranty is that you can get support in any country you're in as long as it has a dell facility. Having a Dell especially when you're in the US is very convenient.

I have another question to ask for. You said you have work with dell before, how dell specify the warranty for laptop? I buy dell laptop last year, and now the warranty is expired for 5 month already. Unluckily the laptop seems having trouble which is motherboard problem. So i call dell service, and ask for help. They suggest to me to extend the warranty. The thing is, i surf on dell website, the price is to high....why?

oh really my friend..i didn't notice that dell cheaper than others. I appreciate your information. But then, what do you suggest to me about my problem my friend. Should i re-extend my warranty or just but spare part individually on my own, i mean still with dell. The thing is i don't know which is broken either cpu or motherboard.

Honestly speaking, Dell gets most of the profit from selling warranties. Don't you wonder why Dell computers are cheaper? You should have extended the warranty before it expired. but you still can extend it. Dell allows warranty extensions for upto 5 years from date of purchase. The warranties may be expensive but its worth it. I've been with tech support before and I have replaced a lot of defective computers. If I was in the US, I'd definitely buy a Dell, purchase a Complete care warranty and extend it to maximum. he only frustrating thing about Dell's customer service/tech support is that you have to wait on the phone longer. The best time to call is around 3-8pm EST so you get to talk to somebody right away.

There are many brands in Asia that are not sold in U.S.A. as well. I think that the companies look at the market and determine they won't make much money in some countries. For example, McDonald's is probably not a good idea in India. It is a risk. Even Pizza Hut is in Bangladesh but they make the pizza differently than here - as people like a bit more spicer pizza...also the most popular pizza in U.S.A. is pepperoni - which is made from pork - and we know this would not be a popular choice in a predominantly Muslim or Jewish country. Just my thoughts.

thanks for the respond booboo :) somehow your idea is something right for certain companies. They should not risk in term of income profit. So, what kind of laptop you used booboo?
